So, here I am… After telling myself in 2011, after my third solo show that I probably wouldn’t do another run, I now find myself up in Edinburgh for yet another stab at the bubble that is the fringe festival.
I’m not bitter or angry towards doing Edinburgh again. I’ve enjoyed my time north of the border so far, mainly as I’ve had the little distraction of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, which as a sports geek, has had me transfixed and partially had me forgetting the main reason why I’m in Scotland. I’ve been to so many events; athletics, weightlifting, rugby 7s, even the lawn bowls! That was an experience! I felt like 50 Cent making a guest appearance on Midsummer Murders!
The show, named Teenage Mutant Nathan Caton has been all good so far. There’s even been people turning up in the audience wearing their Ninja Turtles gear… Talk about nostialgic! …Turtle Power!
Anyway, we’ll see how the rest of the run goes. Only time will tell…
As airline cabin crew I was so lucky to find myself on a two night stand over in Edinburgh. My daughter said Nathan Caton was the one to see. Indeed she was right. I saw seven shows in two days but Nathan’s show stood out for being funny, personal and poignant. I just wish she could have been there with me.
You have nothing to worry about Nathan. You rock!
Saw Nathan at the Comedy Store on 18th December. He was the last act and, in my view, the best had definitely been saved for last! Excellent and authentic. Well done & the very best of luck to you Nathan!!
Just saw Nathan on Live Apollo. Very insightful and funny. well done.
